All About Ms. Loomis
I would like to take the time to introduce myself to you. My name is Katie Loomis and this year will be my 12th year at Wilson Creek Elementary. I grew up in Cleveland, Ohio with my parents and siblings: Heidi, Emily, and Erik. I also have 4 nieces and 3 nephews who I simply adore. I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, traveling, cooking, baking, and of course shopping! I attended Notre Dame College of Ohio in Cleveland and received a Bachelor’s Degree in Mild/Moderate Special Education. I also attended the University of Rio Grande in southern Ohio where I received an Associate’s Degree in Sociology. After completing my degree I decided to move South to Atlanta, and have been here now for 11 years.
This year I have the privilege of teaching 4th Grade math, science, and writing!
It is my mission as a teacher to find the best way to teach, communicate, and connect with each individual student so they can become successful in learning and life. I also believe that a great rapport/communication between home and school will help contribute to the success of your child. I look forward to getting to know you and your child and watching your child grow this year!
